Toddler Group Valentines

Hailey had her "Valentimes" (love how she says that) party today at school. She was very excited. She has really clung on to the whole valentines/heart/love thing this year and it has been kind of fun. She started class out by making her Valentines holder.

Her next stop was the felt board. It's funny that this is one of her favorite stops each week. She puts everything up and then counts all the pieces. I don't think Tyler played with the felt board once during his two years at WTG. Oh and there were 15 hearts today...in case you were wondering.
Hailey loved putting her Valentines into everyone's holder. They all made train valentine holders that were lined up on the wall like one long train....very cute.

Hailey and her prized valentines....though she was most excited about the candy.

Making tacos

It turns out, if we let the kids "build" their own tacos they actually eat some if not all of it. Oh the power of being in control of your own food!

the other side of sweetness

I'm pretty sure this girl will always be able to hold her own. She's not really an all or nothing girl. She's more of an ALL all the time at all extremes kind of girl.

She's playing "bad guy Skull" with Ty (a real life game they've adapted from legos)
But she can definitely be a charmer....just ask her daddy.

Creation Station

This is where all of Tyler's creating takes place. Well actually, it's supposed to be contained here but seems to spread through most of the family/dining area each day. Tyler added massive legos to his collection over the holidays and it now requires a whole "space" for his legos. But it is well used. If only I could keep it organized.........

Paper & Tape

Paper and tape have become a crucial supply in our household. Tyler is inspired daily by things he sees in his books, magazines, or on the computer (he's a big fan of the videos on the lego website). Its usually starwars, lego, or superhero related. His inspiration is typically tunneled into one of three things. He wants to print a picture from the computer, make a lego creation about his inspiration, or turn himself into his inspiration. He has become very creative. Especially with his legos, he's been using legos and stickers and pens to create the people he wants to create:
Cyborg and Kit Fisto
When it comes to making a costume for himself it is usually involves paper. He colors, one of us cuts and Tyler tapes. Here is an example:

Imperial Pilot in star wars book
Imperial pilot Ty

Star Wars Blue Guard
One day he did ditch the paper and went for toilet paper.
