We try to make it Ocean Shores and more specifically Surfcrest at least once a year for a few days. Just like everything else this year, this trip was even more freeing. The kids had such fun in that freezing cold water....getting their clothes soaked and not caring a bit. Tyler especially like that there was a basketball hoop just steps away from our front door. Even better he was allowed to go our and play anytime he wanted even if Dave and I weren't there (but the front door was open). HE thought that was the greatest.

Once we made it to Surfcrest we pretty much headed straight for the beach. We had been forecast rainy weather and though it was cool and overcast when we arrived there was not rain. We figured we had better take advantage in case it rained later in the weekend.

Guess who liked getting wet and then sandy :). She had no need for shovels.

| yes, sand still stick to wet skin :) |
You always have to bury yourself in soft warm sand at the beach right?
On Sunday and Monday we woke up to sunny skies and a warm days. We lucked out. We spent a lot time down by the water. The kids dug in the sand a bit and build a sand castle but most of their time was spent jumping the waves. This never got old.

We once again had a great Ocean Shores trip and it was a nice way to end our trips for the summer.
