everyday, all the time

I have a set of chores in the making for our little ones. There are a few things that just drive me crazy. The constant state of our house is one of those things. Anyone else's house and I'm not at all bothered by it.....but in my own house it weighs down on me. I have plans over the next year to go through everything and organize (and yes, it will likely take me an entire year....sad, I know). In the mean time there are a few things the kids can do to help me out. Here is one of those little things...... We walk in the door from the garage and the kids sit and take their shoes off before I even have a chance to get past them (usually with arm full of grocery bags). In concept, it's great, but this is what it looks like when they are done. I don't think our carpet is nearly as dirty as it looks (bad angle)....then again....maybe I'll clean the carpets this weekend.

r2d2 renamed

If ever there was a contest to rename r2d2 I would definitely submit a vote. Tyler talks about r2d2 occasionally (not sure why, we've never seen the movie or anything), I guess it's just one of those things boys know and love. But the best part is hearing him say the name........that is, Tyler's take on the name......Archie BeePoo. It really is a much better name don't you think? We don't even bother to correct him (though we say it correctly ourselves), it's just sounds too good.

Career Predictions 2009

Time for our annual summer career predictions....well, I guess it's way overdue but better late than never.

As of summer 2009 our best guess of what the kids "will be when they grow up".

Tyler (4, almost 5 years old) was a tough choice so we narrowed it down to three:
Drummer
Pilot
Professional Triathlete

Hailey (2 1/2) - Singer/Dancer

Bend/Sunriver

We had a quick trip/long weekend down to Bend these last several days. My great Aunt Betty and Uncle Bill were visiting from back east and it has been years since I've seen them. This is the first time that Dave and kids have met them in person. It was a very fun weekend. We stayed at Grammy's house the first couple days an then moved to a beautiful house in Sunrvier for a couple days so Aunt Betty and Uncle Bill could stay at my mom's (and so mom's house wouldn't get destroyed.....as the kids tend to do this where ever we go). While in Sunriver we biked, played at the park, went swimming, and hot tubbing. Tyler got to sleep in a bunk bed which he thought was the greatest ever!....though he thought the hot tub was pretty cool too.

Hailey's School

Hailey started her second year of toddler group this last Thursday. She was very very excited to go to "school". This year she really gets that Tyler goes to school and has been sad that she doesn't get to go. So having her day, was very exciting for her. She still won't let me get out of site but she was definitley thrilled to be around new toys and projects and she still loves circle time. Since I did a comparison for Ty, seems like I should for Hailey too. Of course I didn't take a first day of school picture of her last year but here's a picture from last September.

She's done some growing this year :). Here is Hailey hard at work at school.

Miss Us

Anyone out there who checks on this frequently??? Yes, I know it's been a while and I have a list sitting next to me of about 12 blogs to do. But, it's been a real challenge to find the time. So, I'm hoping to do one a day here for a while. My intentions are good anyway.
