Swimming

Tyler finished his first week of his two week swim class today. It's a big commitment since it's everyday but it's also lots of fun. We've been taking lessons at an outdoor neighborhood pool (thank you Kevin and Lisa) in the Totem Lake area. It's actually perfect for this year because while Tyler is swimming Hailey can hang out in the separate toddler/wading pool. She is more than happy there. She spends her time splashing, jumping, dunking her face, and more or less living in her dream world. Tyler has been busy doing his swimming thing. He really is a pretty good swimmer now and had even been doing great "treading water" in the deep in the last couple of days. Here are a few pics of Tyler and of Hailey. Hailey has been funny because whenever she stands up she gets a stream of water running off her swim suit between her legs which she can't quite understand. EVERY TIME she stand up she says "I'm going potty, mommy". On the other hand she actually has been getting out of the water to go to the bathroom several times during Tyler's 30 minute lesson instead of going in her diaper. I've been pretty impressed by this even though taking wet bathing suits and swim diapers off and on repeatedly is far from fun or convenient.
