Ocean Shores

ALERT!  Massive amount of pictures.

We had a fun weekend at Ocean Shores the weekend after Tyler got out of school.  We drove over Friday night so that we could wake up Saturday ready to go.  And when the kids did wake up on Saturday they were so excited to go down to the beach.  We totally lucked out with the weather.  It had been rainy and cold all week.  Saturday morning at ocean shores the sky was bright blue.  Still chilly but we were so thankful for the sun!!  We headed out to the beach right after breakfast.

 I don't think Hailey remembered last year all that well but she sure loved the sand this year.

 After playing in the sand a bit Tyler wanted to jump in the waves so we headed down to the water.  Hailey took one step in the wet sand, looked at the bottom of her foot with disgust and headed back to the warm dry stuff :)

 Tyler loves jumping in the waves and running from them.  That water is just frigid.

 Hailey was much happier playing in the sand dunes.

We stayed at the beach until lunch.  After lunch we made a quick run into town to get a couple of kites.  We found some great kites that fly easy and don't have any sort of stick frame so it's super easy for the kids to fly and keep flying.  Tyler of course got the skeleton kite. 

Later in the afternoon we headed to the pool for some water fun.

Day 2 -Sunday

There was more sand playing.  Last year Tyler really enjoyed making sand castles.  This year they just wanted to play games in the warm sand.

 On Sunday Hailey decided she wanted to try jumping in the water.
