Not Joyful

One of our big challenges these days are Hailey's emotions.  She is very quick to anger.  When she gets mad shes quick to show it.  Then she feels bad for being mad and wants to get away from eveyone.  It's very hard for us all and we know how important it is to help her learn how to deal with these emotions.  Of course the teaching part is so hard because she does't want to talk about even after shes cooled off.  On her toughest days she says she's bad or that she is sad and never happy or that she is not joyful.  These things are heart curshing to hear.  I wish I knew all the right things to say and do so her sweet, sunny, funny self could shine through and take over.  We have high expectations of the kids but certainly not unreasonable ones.  She is just so hard on herelf.  This is the one thing that makes me nervous for Kindergarten next year.  How will her emotions play out.  Will she spend her days mad and or crying?  Will she hold it all in until she gets home and then fall to peices?  Will it all be fine and her joyful self will shine through?  I hope we do right by her and find a way to help her through these hard times.

More pics coming soon.
