If you don't have kids just scroll to the bottom and check the photos/videos out. If you do, then read on. Saturday was an all around great day. It started with me and Hailey going to gymnastics (see that blog) and then we all got to go to Ty's school for the annual Christmas concert (thanks for coming Grandma Maura and Grandpa Carl). Ty did great and Hailey was really excited about her big brother being on stage!
After the concert we headed to Seattle and had a pretty nice dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then took Ty and Hailey to see the Imagination Movers in concert at The Moore Theatre. The Movers have a show on the Disney Channel and both the kids love them. We managed to keep the whole thing a secret up until we were walking in the door and Ty saw a flyer on the wall next to us. He was instantly very excited. The show was about 1.5 hrs long and both of the kids loved it. For the first 30 minutes or so Ty was transfixed and I had to check on him a couple times to make sure he had not gone into a coma! He hit me with some questions about why mover Rich was playing a guitar and not his drums, seemed to buy my impromptu explanation and just accepted what he was seeing. After that he got into the groove and proceeded to 'air drum' along with the Movers for the rest of the concert.
Hailey was slightly more animated, dancing in her seat and being generally gregarious including an almost disastrous head first fall from her chair (nice catch Val!). In the end I succumbed to the retail pressure and bought 2 glowing Imagination Mover sticks and we washed the whole night down with some Cold Stone ice cream.
Waiting in line, still no idea what the surprise is!

Hailey just found out....translation...."Yeah, Movers!"

A boy loves his surprises!

Just about to get started.

Hey, look who's into crowd participation!

It's just great being a Daddy!

It's just great eating ice cream!

In case you are wondering who the Imagination Movers are...
