Cub Scouts



Tyler started cub scouts this year.....because he needed more after school activities :).  Actually he has been very excited to do some of the fun scouting things and he thinks getting the badges/rounders is pretty cool.  Its been really fun to see him "dressed up" in jeans (which he won't otherwise wear) and actually have his shirt tucked in (first time ever).  But I'll tell you, once these boys put there hats on, they suddenly all look the same.

 Each month they have one den meeting and one pack meeting.  For the first pack meeting the reptile guy put on a show.  The boys loved it.  Hailey was in heaven.

 This humongous python was a favorite.....even more so since the reptile guy let him rest on the boys laps so they could "pet" it.

 The second Pack meeting was the father/son cake bake auction.  All father's and sons were supposed to bake  a cake and bring it in for the auction.  Dave happened to be out of town at training this whole week and Tyler didn't really want to bake a cake with me (he's such a good rule follower) so we just went and enjoyed looking at everyone else's cake.  This Pack takes their cake making seriously.  There were some impressive cakes.  Here are a few of our favorites.
