Langley

Somewhere around the 15th we welcomed a new member into the family.  We'd like to introduce Langely the magical elf.  He lives at the North Pole with Santa and generally keeps watch over us during the holidays.  He got special permission to actually live with us during these last ten days.  He sleeps during the day, turning into a stuffed animal type person of sorts.  Though he's always listening to what's going on.    At night we leave out crackers and sprinkle the magic snow on him.  While we are sleeping he's busy doing sometimes mischievous elf things.  In the morning it's up to the kids to find out what he's been up to.  It's our first experience with an elf and I must say, they are busy little things.  He's a recap of how we've found Langley some of these last few mornings.

One night the kids forgot to leave crackers out for him.....he decided to hunt them down for himself.  We all laughed at this one.



one night he found the drawer of  cars and made a trail from outside the kids' rooms.....

the kids also forgot to feed him this night and he left a trail of cracker pieces from the pantry all the way to the playroom.  Boy, the kids couldn't believe his rascaliness.

 The morning after Langley tp'd our tree Tyler said he was going to write a letter to Santa explaining how naughty Langley had been.  I tried to explain that Langley probably just thought it was funny.  Tyler said it absolutely was NOT funny, just extremely naughty.  Don't mess with this boys Christmas tree!

Langley also hid in Hailey's advent calendar.

The night after we made snowflakes, Langley had a snowflake party of his own.  The scissors were still in his hands when we found him.

This morning Hailey woke up and her bedroom floor was covered with a line up of stuffed animals.

that had clearly been played with during the night.

Guess who we found in the empty stuffed animal bucket....

We'll be sorry to see Langley go tomorrow night.  He's been very mischievous but also very funny.
