The first weekend of December was a busy weekend for us. Saturday Tyler had Santa Breakfast at his school (dead camera battery), a basketball game, then we went to Snow Blast at the church/preschool, and we ended the day in Mill Creek for the parade and Tree Lighting. Sunday was the day we picked out our Christmas tree. Welcome to the fun and busy days of December.
The kids had a great time at Snow Blast. There was arts and crafts, gingerbread house making, train rides, live reindeer, and best of all for the kids, they had a ton of snow hauled in and made a sledding course for the kids. We spent a long time in the snow.
We started out at the arts & crafts room.

Included in the art room was cookie decorating.
After being fueled by sugar we went to make Gingerbread houses. Tyler absolutely loves making Gingerbread houses. It's the builder/designer in him I guess. Hailey did her entire house by herself. I didn't help with one single thing. Oh, how quickly they are growing.

After Gingrebread houses we went out to see the reindeer
Then it was time for sledding. The kids had so much fun. We may need to go up to a mountain this winter for some sledding fun.

After sledding for about 45 minute s we came home, warmed up, had a snack and then headed down to Mill Creek for the parade.

After the parade we watched the tree lighting. Then there were various activities going on in the Mill Creek town center. The kids decorated and ate yet another cookie. We stumbled upon a pet shop that was having kitty adoptions. They had a tent filled with about 7 kittens that Hailey and Tyler got to go into. Hailey was in heaven! There was face painting and other fun things as well. In the end we met up with Dave (who had spent the day at work) and wrapped up our nutritious eating for the day at Red Robin. Everyone was ready for bed when we got home! What a fun day!
